Shipping & Delivery Services
Most piglets are ready to be shipped or delivered when they are 6 – 8 weeks old and/or is fully weaned. We will not ship or deliver a piggy that has not been completely weaned and eating well on its own. Although we know you can’t wait to have your new baby at home, sometimes it is better to wait in order to ensure a safe trip for your piggy. The shipping date is also subject to weather conditions and flight availability.
Flying your piggy home is our first choice of transportation. Typically, they can arrive at their new homes in a matter of hours. The shipping cost is usually $350.00 which includes the air transportation fee, a current health certificate (if required), state permit (if required), airline approved travel crate and breeder’s travel expenses. Piglets leave from Fort Lauderdale International Airport and fly to most major airports; we currently ship them via Continental Airlines/United Airlines (PetSafe Program). When shipping your piglet, we will be responsible for making all the travel arrangements with the airline. Instructions for the piggy’s pick-up will be made available to the new owner ahead of time.
Picking up your piggy: For those adopting locally within 30 miles from Fort Lauderdale, pick-up arrangements can be made. New owners will be notified ahead of time of the date, place and time of pick-up.
Delivery of your piggy: Ground transportation is an option for new owners that live in South Florida (limited to Palm Beach County, Broward County, and Miami-Dade County) but are not able to make local pick-up arrangements. Our transporters are highly trained and well experienced in handling the piglets. The delivery cost is usually $200.00, which includes the ground transportation fee, animal crate and breeder’s travel expenses.
